Motivation and generation of ideas     posted on 23rd of july, 2007

Sometime last year, I found myself at a loss for ideas on what to shoot, I seemed to be stuck in an endless rut of shooting the same stuff over and over again, and that induced a sort of laziness. It was just getting boring.

So I started a photography club. Pretty amateurish (the idea wasn't to go berserk over-organizing), in fact it was just an excuse to meet new people and have a little fun (my social life was pretty dismal as well. LOL).

The great thing about not having too much of a structure around the whole thing was that it didn't get intimidating for anyone. Anyone could suggest any theme and we would all trundle along with our cameras and shoot stuff we had never ...

Aaaargh... Lost them all     posted on 26th of july, 2007

For the last two months, I had been driving around the country snapping pictures of localities to be published in local calendars. Most all computers have a feature in the bios called smart drive that warns you of a hd mechanical failure coming soon on a boot up, when that happens backup to your new hd fast. If you don't see smart drive on boot it my be off position Backup your computer with norton ghost or Acronis backup tools which allows you to make an exact copy of your drive (bootable clone) with these tools you can reverse the backup for instance backup is D drive to C drive Your computer bios may have another feature called usb boot if you have a usb backup with a clone of C:/ you can boot straight from the backup. The next best way is an off site data storage company but that costs $$ - posted by Jack schiffer on August 27, 2007
You are not alone here. I had a new computer, so I just postponed backing up my vacation pictures...Guess what? That new computer crashed and I lost them all. Moral of the story? Procrastinators are in for it...Big time. Astargirl, I also have a few pics that are only on DT now...By the way, any chance we could have them back, obviously for free? - posted by Fotogeek on August 23, 2007
