I am just an amateur photographer. I would like to learn more. Where can I get learning resources online. What are some of the books that will help.

Personally, I find a lot of the articles in Digital Photo magainze to be very helpful. You can find the magazine in most bookstores, or online at: http://www.photographymags.co.uk/

Check out the Utilities section (under the Resources tab on the top) - there are some really nice books you can order in paper copies. I also just recently wrote about one that I have here: Finding Inspiration (Part 3). On-line you might want to check the well discussed lately Strobist here: http://strobist.blogspot.com/ - very good info on lighting.
