Yep definitely I'm stopping the way I blogged untill just now. How was that? I tried to share my knowings with the readers. Need more info? Read my other blogs. BUT It's not of much use when only two or three people react and only about 25 people read. Not much of use to spend 2 hours on writing it I think. To be honest, I do have work to do besides this haha. So new formula: As of now I will try to find useful articles and resources and point them out for you. Numero uno is: photo.net link Why? *Great photo's *Nice community AND above all *An impressive extensive database of all you always wanted to know but were to stupid (uhr sorry afraid) to ask about photography. Make yourself wiser and take ... [ Read more... ]

Question: What do you think of this blogging thing? What do you think about people simply putting up links in a blog without any relevant information? Is this how DT wants it to be? If so, I'm joining in because there is no easier way to get sales. Find an action or an article, post it, get a credit and buy your own. Well here's mine: A great action to sharpen up your images can be found here To make sure your sharpness looks like this

No Tony, I'm not having a dig at you mate. It just feels bad if you do a lot of work with no effect. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, maybe it's the audience. But therefor I'm changing my views. This blog is also for sharing once views so that's what I do. Not having a dig at you ;-)

Anytime i've tried to use anything like this it's been rejected by Dreamstime for being overfiltered and of limited use to the buyer???
But this type of action is perfect if you have an image of good composition but maybe a little too out of focus. - posted by

Read your histogram. In order to know if the lighting of your photo is balanced you should be able to read your histogram correctly. John Paul Caponigro does a great job explaining how, so no need for me to explain it again. just read this

Anyway, your articles are really too nice. I mean I loved your first articles. And when I read that you are a couple running a photo studio, that seemed absolutely wonderful. I partly understood your frustration as your articles were really thought off and elaborated. I do not think you should give up that up - unless there is no time of course - as I read them with a lot of pleasure and I am sure others did the same. They had a very journalistic touch and read like newspaper articles you would enjoy at breakfast in the morning. Very useful and informative while adding personality. Your first first article was absolutely delicious.
And hope you taste my jokes.they are not nasty :P And enough now, I will let you guys talk about photography...Sorry for interrupting the lessons. - posted by

Wile exploring I found two more very useful freeware programs. The first is imagesorter which automatically sorts your 1000nds of images by colour and gives you many search possibilities. It has been developed by a Berlin team that try to bring men and machine closer together. Get it here ******************************************** I already told you about two free image editing progs (Gimp and Irfanview. Here's number 3 that deserves a place in this list: Photobie, a photo imager that supports Photoshop plugins, offers layers, painting tools, a screen capture tool, a gif animation tool, a photo framing tool, an image browser with batch resize/rotate and slide show features. It requires .NET framework ... [ Read more... ]

Adobe Systems will soon offer a online free version of photoshop. It is called: 'Photoshop Express', and is a 'light'-version of Photoshop. This product has to appeal to consumers and concur with other cheap alternatives as Google's Picasa. Adobe Photoshop Express is a Flash application still in development. When this online version will become active has not yet been revealed. Earlier this year Premiere Express a video editor appeared, also a flash based editor which is usable via other sites like Photobucket. If all these programs are golden eggs? I doubt it. But it sure gives us a look in the future where ... [ Read more... ]

Everybody loves a good laugh so I am almost 100% sure a lot of you who hasn't seen it live have been searching for the video of Britney spears comeback at the MTV video awards. Uhr comeback? I don't think so. Out of shape out of voice...OUT OF VOICE? What voice?, out of lipsync you mean, dancing like eh...me, and very very out of shape. I know for a fact my mother would have looked better and she has passed 70. Trying to find a vid of the show I stumbled upon remove after remove until.......... Whoops there it is. Enjoy and keep your eyes dry. The image displayed is, of course, not her but a nice image by Prometeus.

I definately agree that it is past time for Britanny to "retire." She acts like she still has the body of a 16 year old. Granted she still looks good for having 2 kids (whom apparently she doesn't associate with much), but she is past her entertainment prime, so it seems. - posted by

Today one remark, one link, one photo and one recommendation all about light. Remark: They say photography is painting with light but you need shadows to be able to read your light. Link: a great site about lighting techniques etc. Recommendation: All books in the "pro lighting"series by Roger Hicks and Frances Schulz. Great photos all with an explanation how the lighting was done. Photo:

Another great way in boosting up your sales has nothing to do with your photos and everything with your exposure. In order to boost up sales you will have to be seen by the buyers. Ofcourse get your keywords and descriptions correct but also to link to your DT portfolio whenever you can. Use that referral link you'll find in your management area. Focus the attention on your portfolio and see your sales growing with your portfolio exposure. Ours today is at Portfolio exposure: 13.96%. I think it was about 7 % before I started blogging and I saw an increase in sales while the percentage went up. So blogging does more for you then meets the eye. So help yourself and: ... Portfolio exposure has nothing to do with views, it's just a number comparing your number of photos online with the user who has the most. If he has 1000 and you have 500, your PE is 50%, that's all. - posted by

Midstock or better said stock photo's sold for between 10 to 100 dollars instead of 1 to 5. The word midstock is so fashionable new that they did not even yet decide on the proper definition yet. It comes, very rudely spoken to this: The big expensive stocks will realize they can't compete with microstock any longer and will lower their prices. NOT to a microstock level but in between micro and Big. Microstock will realise, they have become so popular that they can rise their prizes a bit and earn more for their contributors AND theirselves. Not towards the prices of the high rolers but somewhere in between. Midstock is born. here some guys that disagree. I for one think these guys have a point but of course ... [ Read more... ]

Do not get fooled by the title. This info will not help you boost up your sales. It will not even tell you something about your sales. But since I started a part 1 I can't stop using this title. Part 15 I made a mistake because I thought Portfolio Exposure (PE) did have something to do with how many people visited your Portfolio compared to your sales. Sebcz pointed out my mistake with the following comment: Comment by Sebcz on September 17, 2007 Portfolio exposure has nothing to do with views, it's just a number comparing your number of photos online with the user who has the most. You have to keep an eye on the portfolio exposure parameter. As it goes down, your sales can go down too. They may not, because more buyers are coming on the site daily, but they would if the number of buyers stayed the same and you don't upload anything new. So, you need to focus on increasing that percentage, because it shows your competition with other contributors. - posted by
