Desert Island - What would you take?     posted on 18th of september, 2007

Just watched the film "cast away" with Tom Hanks. If you were stuck on a desert island what 3 things would you take...other than a football called Wilson!

I will start it off....my girlfriend because she might read this blog not Neve Campbell! and some water and a knife.

I would take a dive mask and snorkle. An axe. My wife - posted by Dcwcreations on September 18, 2007
Just because I'm taking a means to get out doesn't mean I wouldn't be ok with staying for a while. :) I'll stay for a couple of days, then I"m coming back home! How do we know if the island can even support life? If it doesn't have fresh water or a food supply, count me out! - posted by Kenneystudios on September 18, 2007
A solution to getting back isnt really very romantic...what about getting back to nature and living on the edge away from all of this technology. I spent a week camping forgot my phone and it cant believe how good it felt! - posted by Nicemonkey on September 18, 2007

Strange proposal?     posted on 19th of september, 2007

My girlfriend has put up with me for over 3 years and has been dropping a few hints about getting married! I have been playing it cool but I think it is about time I popped the question...this is where you lot come in. Should I go traditional...meal, wine and down on one knee or should I go for something a bit different? Any ideas?

Go with your heart. Your heart won't fail you, if you just let it do its thing. :) My fiance proposed to me over the phone while stationed in Fort Bragg. He just couldn't wait!! A couple of weeks later when we got to see him for Easter, he told his parents over dinner (well, after really, but still at the restaurant table) and placed the ring on my finger. :) Was it fine wine and dining? Absolutely not. Was it the most romantic thing in the world? To me, absolutely yes. By the way, we had only been dating for 3 months at that point. :) When you click, you click. - posted by Kenneystudios on September 19, 2007
I proposed to my fiance at the top of Dumbarton rock on her first visit to Scotland to meet my family (She's Swedish and it was only after 4 months) - posted by Tonygers on September 19, 2007

I just realised that I am not God!     posted on 24th of september, 2007

Do you ever get the feeling that your life is the only real life and that other people think that they are living a life but it is just a figment of their imagination and it only becomes real when they met you?

Me neither, but ok, yes, I do sometimes but yesterday I saw some road work and it just hit me that I would never have imagined that arrangement of holes and barriers! Damn, I guess the world dose not revolve around me and you lot are just as real as me!

I feels a bit odd but this is the first day of the rest of my life that I am going to be just normal...scarry!

Am I alone?

When I was a kid, I felt like I was the center of the universe.. I always wondered, why can't people see through my eyes, and why can't I see through theirs? I could never have put it into words at that time, but I now realize, that was part of me feeling that everything and everyone is connected to the point of being one and the same.. I've read a lot about quantum mechanics, string theory, and the zen like state of being that it seems to imply. Some people complain that science is going to destroy all the mystery of the universe.. But if you accept that we are the universe and the universe is us, then our trying to discover more about the universe, is the universe trying to find out more about us and itself. If the universe that is everything (that we know of) doesn't fully understand itself, I think that it will be a long long long long long +1,000,000 longs long time before we ever get to that point.. - posted by Mainfragger on September 27, 2007
LOL! Can't believe you ever imagined the world revolves around you.........but you in yourself are a world, revolving around you of course....so don't be sad...something still revolves around you, only at a smaller scale :P - posted by Tangie on September 25, 2007
