Floral Blues!     posted on 3rd of october, 2007

We normally know stock agencies telling in their FAQs that they have had enough photographs of flower. And they actually mean it. I totally accept their outlook and their frustration over receiving too many flowers and very few of them worth appreciation. The subject is too irresistible to ignore even for a person who is not a photographer. The sheer natural beauty of the vivid colors and structure of a flower amazes a child and an elder person in equal excitement. But still, I myself refrain from clicking flowers and not because I cannot submit them here or for competitions but there is some other reason.

I know a very well known and respected photography teacher in my country. One day at my home we were both ...

Thank you. Thats what I meant. Conventional flower shots can be boring now. - posted by Thefinalmiracle on October 04, 2007
What the reviewers swamped with too many pictures of flowers dont say is that contrary to popular opinion, flower shots sell, maybe not as much as a woman with a headset on a computer does, but they sell. Mine have the few that I have got accepted. So if they are beautiful to us, they are also beautiful to the designers and their cuctomers they are trying to reach. They can't be standard though, they must be different to stand out. Your flower shots are great and can be used for many concepts.Enjoy D - posted by Bigpressphoto on October 04, 2007

Creative Sun     posted on 4th of october, 2007

In my last blog I explained how we can be creative about photographing flowers and making them more attractive, this time I will talk about sunset/sunrise photographs which are equally in abundance with the stock agencies or photography showcases. Like flowers, sunsets and sunrises are also very attractive. The colors in a lightly cloudy sky at sunset can take us into a trance of nature, a bliss like no other. We often wonder who has painted this beautiful picture right in front of us. Never in nature can we see so many shades and colors on such a vast canvas of the sky.

Photographing sunsets is a very easy topic unless you are into clicking the sun through astronomical visions. Science and creativity lie differently ...

/thanks for the feedback. You will need some post-processing to get them accepted. Mainly the issue is noise in such silhouettes - posted by Thefinalmiracle on January 28, 2008
Beautiful silhouettes. Lovely shots. I have quite a few silhouette shots on my flickr account or in my personal favourites but I am having trouble getting them accepted for stock photography because of exposure issues. I'm still learning! - posted by Cleaper on January 28, 2008
I dont have an SLR so cannot use filter. Filters for normal cameras are not available here. I mostly do post processing if required. But in this picture"water colors", I haven't added any colors they are natural , I had to adjust contrast and brightness because the picture was blur and earlier rejected for lack of appeal in it. So the contrast and brightness processing help it appear a more attractive, and ofcourse I had to sharpen some blur areas of the silhouette. - posted by Thefinalmiracle on October 05, 2007

My Charity Concert     posted on 17th of october, 2007

Many of you here might or might not be aware that my main profession is related to music. I am a composer, writer, singer and dancer. I am also the CEO for a new music label in India. Since I understood music I have been a fan of Michael Jackson. Many people love him, hate him and yet many are least concerned. I officially started his fanclub in India "The Official Indian Michael Jackson Fanclub" - www.clubmj.com some years back and since then I have been organizing charity concerts under the title series "Heal the World Concert". I am not from those fans who scream and faint or go ecstatic about MJ. I love MJ as an artist and as a humanitarian and am least concerned about his personal life. I believe that his mission of 'heal the world' was strong and thought ...

    About Me
Nikhil Gangavane (Thefinalmiracle)
Pune, IN

I never try to know in which genre my art finds its place in, I just create things that make a most qualified person and a common man feel the same level of ecstasy that I feel at the time of creation

I would be grateful if the buyers of my photographs or illustrations let me know how and where my work is used.
