Anticipation: Washington DC     posted on 8th of november, 2007

I'm leaving for Washington DC to attend a conference in 2 weeks time and hopefully I can squeeze out some time to take some photographs while I'm there.

I know some of the key places to shoot will be the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Mall, Capitol, Zoo etc. I can't wait to get there!

the White House can be taken only from the outside unlike the Singapore Istana (our own "white house"!) where we can wander the grounds on certain days in a year. See the picture below.

Anyone who have been to Washington DC can offer me some tips on where else I can shoot? Anything of importance that I should take note of while I'm there?

I enjoy macro and abstract photography. I hope that through my photos, you will be able to see something that you would not usually appreciate. The world is a beautiful place and as photographers, we each have a chance to portray it in our own little unique way.

Till now, I am still learning and discovering new techniques everytime. Take a look at my stock photos and download them if they suit your fancy... It'll be an encouragement to me as well as an acknowledgement that I have indeed made some progress along the way :)
