New York to New Delhi     posted on 12th of december, 2007

Hello, dreamstime!

As some of you know, I have transitioned from New York City to New Delhi, India. I'm still getting situated, but I would love to hear from everyone if there are certain subjects or topics you'd like to see in my photos. I'm open to suggestions (within reason, of course), and I value your opinion.

I adore the community here on dreamstime and look forward to hearing from you. :)

Thank you so much for that valuable information. You taught me a lot of things I never would have considered. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hello Amy. Welcome to India. India is very diverse culturally as well as in terms of landscape. If you are here specially for shoots and are in the northern parts of India, dont miss out on kashmir, the himalayas, or even if u get a chance go to Ladakh, which is considered to be a paradise for photographers. Search these topics on the net and research them first or try to grab some Indian photography magazines from the stands. Also if possible try to catch cultures because you will find different culture and traditions in each state, which rounds up to around 26 states and around 102 different cultures in total. Try to grab models who have a contact number, especially the ones who are poor. You wont believe but they do carry a cellphone with them as mobile communication is very cheap in India. If you pay them around $2 - $5 they will happily sign the model releases and provide all the contact info needed. IF you need any more help you can leave me comments here. Go through my portfolio as well, you might get some ideas of what to click :) but I think as you are in different part of India where I haven't been since last 5 years, you have a lot to click which I haven't clicked at all.
