Businessweek article - digi photo scrapbooking biz     posted on 2nd of january, 2008

I stumbled upon this article from businessweek.com, on home based businesses,

and the second page of the article is on digi photography scrapbooking.

I have a ton of mine waiting approval.

Here’s the excerpt:

“Digital photography also provides what you think might be a huge market in “scrapbooking.” But hasn’t that trend already peaked?

You’re right that people have been teaching scrapbooking workshops and selling products for several years now. But our idea is a twist on that, as an opportunity for the home-based entrepreneur to market herself as a professional scrapbook artist. The reality is that we all have these digital cameras that take beautiful pictures,...

Yes, I have tons of scrapbook pages I've uploaded here recently... I don't know of any scrapbook sites to sell on yet ;) but I should search on it... - posted by Loveliestdreams on January 03, 2008
I read the article. What did you mean in your second sentence "I have a ton of mine waiting approval"? Here with DT like the flowers above or with the scrapbooking site? - posted by Cmarshall717 on January 03, 2008

webphotoschool.com $10 for 1 month access to all lessons     posted on 3rd of january, 2008

I just signed up through www.webphotoschool.com and the lessons are great! They have plans ranging from $9.99 for 1 month and access to all lessons, 3 months $24.99, 6 months $44.99, and $79.99 for 1 year, access to all lessons and instructor interaction. I went ahead and subscribed for a year. I'm a human interaction education addict! lol

I'm also about to take a stock photography class through www.betterphoto.com/, this is the class description, 7 spots left: stock photography boot camp.

Hi Brad, I took the year plan for webphotoshool, @80. I like it. In the betterphoto school, I took a stock class, the instructor really bashed microstock. I understood where he was coming from, since he has a portfolio on cobis... but that didn't really motivate me. However, it offered a lot of useful information about the demands of the industry, and how to create the look they're after. ppsop has a stock class for a few thousand... but I've decided against it for now. It was tempting. - posted by Loveliestdreams on June 20, 2008
Another good one is www.kelbytraining.com. More photoshop related but also some photo lighting techniques, etc. You can get the first 3 lessons in a series for free to sample it, so you know what you are going to get out of it. They have a monthly plan, or annual. How did your Betterphoto class go? - posted by Bradcalkins on June 19, 2008
Thanks for sharing about the schools. Sounds great. I'll be taking a look as well. Just wish I had more time in the day! Hope you're enjoying the Dreamstime site! - posted by Gadgetat on January 09, 2008
