Advantage of Full frame sensor. posted on 10th of february, 2008

i just want to know the main advantage of full frame sensor digital camera over other digital camers.

Full frame gives a true wide angle instead of the apparent 1.5 magnification factor. For instance, a full frame Nikon will give me the ability to use some of my old wide angle lenses. I my case, I am always looking to go wider rather than having my telephoto length "magnified". For most people who seem to more enjoy the illusion of longer telephoto lengths, there is no advantage. You get less cropping - cams that aren't full frame end up cropping some of what the lens sees. Am I correct? - posted by Thesupe87 on February 11, 2008
