Poland, officially the Republic of Poland is a country in Central Europe.

I live in Poland so I would like to present you my country from several different views. For first show you incredible fauna of Poland.

Many species of animals that have died out in other parts of Europe still lives in wild in Poland, such as great, big wisents. Those beautiful animals life in Białowieża Forest, and for some time they are inspiration for beer advertisement in Polish TV.

Other such species include the brown bear,

gray wolf,

moose or

beaver

They all live in wild in ancient woodlands that have never been cleared by human.

Unique environment of Poland ...

Polish culture is compound of Eastern and Western cultures. This mix is evident in our architecture, art, literature and other subjects.

I would like to present some famous people whose birthplace was Poland and have significant influence for European culture.

For music Frederic Chopin – famous pianist, for chemistry Maria Curie Skłodowska - she discovered "polonium”,

for astronomy Nicolaus Copernicus – he ‘stopped sun and moved earth’,

in literature Adam Mickiewicz, Czesław Miłosz, Wiesława Szymborka, – they write form the bottom of there hearts (I could write more names but it would be a several subject),

for movies Roman Polański, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Andrzej Wajda – great movie ...

Some say that Polish football fans are the most manner less and violent. That is only the one dark part of our football culture.

Every men I know love football, my father, brothers, cousins and friends also some women love this sport and I will say that they behavior is ok. We are supersensitive about this subject – when our team wins we shout, scream, sing and other loud actions, when we lose we in depressed always try to find scapegoat but it is the same in other cultures.

Euro 2012 is the chance for our country and culture to show who we really are. When I heard that we win I was so happy, (everyone where happy and act loudly) know after few months I am defeated. All news, papers and opposition politics say that we will not make it (and everyone ...

Some scientists where study frozen and fresh vegetables and they discover that frozen are better then fresh.

They all have almost the same value vitamins and calories. In that point fresh vegetables and fruits are even better but yet frozen are better. Why, because of pesticides. Productions of frozen products are more controlled then ‘production fresh products’.

When we buy fresh goodlooking salad we have no idea where it was growing, maybe in some charming garden but maybe in some charming garden near the busy road.

Ok so you will say that is only matter of better control of this product, but I do not want to awake some day and find salad more ...

Creating the graphic work for DT discover the colorful variety in our cosmic life. There are many illustrations and even photos of space, earth and planets on dreamstime, that I have been wondering is there a chance to find all of the planets from great Solar System. For beginning I want to remind the System. In increasing distance from the sun there are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Mercury is the smallest planet in the system, it is similar in appearance to our Moon.

Venus is the second-closest planet to the Sun, the brightest natural object in the night sky, except for the Moon, that is way it is so light bright grey colored.

Amateur of travels, photography and film can go for a trip around the world without moving from the home, all of variety Dreamstime photos. Discover the phenomena of civilization today world, idea of balanced evolution of people, and our differential. It took me a while to find some photos that perfectly illustrate my idea, and here are they. People faces from all over the world, but not usual, not business or other related, just true faces.

The specific of black and white photos perfectly illustrate the sad and ugly face of war. Searching the Dreamstime stock I have found only few photos that really go deeply in this subject, not very popular for commercial using but truly beautiful in expression. Some of them I would like to present you.

White like no other color (o should I say absence of color), have many symbolic meaning in our and other cultures. In many cultures white is a symbol of perfection, purity, innocence, rebirth, live and even death (Islam), north direction or wisdom (freemason). Every one knows the meaning of words white raven, white magic or white flag. White is naturally opposite to black like light is opposite to shadow. Let’s try to measure with this subject.

Grab camera go outside and search the world for some truly beautiful photos. This is what all of us suppose to do, but haw to find a right moment. You should be patient, observe, maybe a little help the scene. It is different then photography in studio. There we can choose the subject, prepare the scene, set up the lights. I search Dreamstime stock looking for some examples of those photographers that I think got the shoot in right moment. From many examples I choose those.

One color used on photo to single out the subject from it. Colored objects in monochrome photography is like discover the right meaning of photo. In seconds we see what was on photographer’s mind, idea of photo is readable and clear for addressee. Those photos (if they good) are excellent for advertisement, web usage and important to contributors but almost all of them where computer manipulated to create such expression.

I find photo that really inspired me, colors are the background to almost white subject delicate chameleon excellent and beautiful in it simplicity.

I was reading about this technique in photography, the meaning is that the background of photo is exposed different then the subject. Try to find such photos in Dreamstime with that mystical expressions and choose some of them to illustrate the idea.

That technique can also be done in for example Photoshop it is difficult and the result is not identical to what camera can do, but let try. You can take two photos of the same scene but with two different expose and then in graphic program compound one image based on those two or just put layer with blur filter (Gaussian Blur). Next to beautiful colorful underwater nature we can find some things, objects, garbage that are not natural to this environment like wrecks, airplanes, bicycles and even locomotive wheels. Are they only garbage from our culture or the specific architecture of the deep oceans.

Someday we can also be a part of this strange blue architecture and become underwater people.

Another topic form my country was inspired by Mexico before the twelfth December remanding me a Poland in time when people from all over the country are walking in pilgrimage to "Jasnagóra" in "Częstochowa". Happy crowd sinning the songs to blessed the Lord, young and older people unknown to each other before that moment, now union in one gathering. All want something from Divine Maria request, thanksgiving and blessing. Colorful, happy time for those who live in this city for whole year, at those moments streets are finally living by crowds of people.

This holiday is marked on March 8 every year in Poland.

Started as a political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries but in Poland it started from Russia I think (primarily Russia and the countries of former Soviet bloc). It was a time that every man usual gives to woman, girl, mother, wife or female friend, some small gift usual cloves necessarily red. Why because those flowers are inexpensive, and it was a politically correctly to give such flower to every woman (My father even now say that he do not celebrate this day because it was the communistic propaganda, but he only say so, he buy my mother bouquet of roses for this occasion).

I saw some photos from exhibition Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007 and was wandering if I could find such artistic perfection, technical advanced and natural beautiful photos at Dreamstime stock. I choose some from many that I think should join to this exhibition.

Underwater photo of hippopotamus is my favorite in this category. Great, big, dangerous hippo swimming in light blue water. He seems to be sleeping I calm but this animal is known as the most dangerous in Africa especially in the water. Maybe the photographer will consider imparting with his skills or narrate the story related to it.

One of the most popular subjects in Dreamstime are macro photos of objects, nature and other. They discover another world for us by closing to it.

Simple clock is complicated mechanism, leaf is textured map of lines and simple roll twine is pointing the black hole in side. Without some description from photographer/illustrator I could not guess what is on some of photo.

The tiger is a mammal, the largest of four ‘big cats’ Lines, Tigers, Jaguars and Leopards, lives in eastern and southern Asia, reaching up to four meters long and weighing also a lot. The most recognizable feature is his pattern fur dark vertical strips on orange and white.

Big, majestic, dangerous and beautiful wild animal is a symbol of power, life energy and dignity. That’s what my husband says and that is why he loved them so much. There are same more examples of what my Andrzej is loved most.
