Hello everyone ! I thought of opening my own website to show my paintings and photomanipulations I would like some tips or experiences that you could have done when trying to open your site. Actually, I've registered to a free hosting service (since I don't have money to pay the hosting every month...). My site can be found at the following link : http://crepusculart.hostsnake.com but it's still under construction). Anyway, have you a website yourself ? Tell me what do you think of free hosting services, and others also. Every comment is useful to me.

I have decided to start a collection. First, I didn't know what it really was for. I mean, you just search what you want with the search box and that's it ! But no, truly, collections are really useful. You can concentrate a great amount of good images, those you like or those you want to share with other users. Because there are so many pictures in Dreamstime, you can't always find the one you're searching for. With collections, people can use themes that could interest you and it becomes fast and easy to find your happiness. My collection is about fantasy backgrounds. I've added backgrounds of my own portfolio and also those of stockers that I already know and that I know are good artists ! I have also found new stockers which is interesting. By the way, you can find ... [ Read more... ]

What an enjoyable situation ! It must be common for some photographers over here but I reached the $100 line ! I hope it'll happen again soon. I'm quite happy to have waited till now and I'm happy to request my first check :). Thanks a lot to those who downloaded some of my photos, I hope they have been useful for them.

I've just figured out that it is very hard to master. Indeed, it's such a great tool for both photographers and illustrators that it has many features unused. Even if I've been using Photoshop a lot for enhancing photos and also to make digital artworks (photomanipulations and paintings), I know Photoshop is still hiding a lot of things. This way, I've been going into searching tutorials around the web to look at others' techniques. I think tutorials are really interesting, not to "steal" or even make the same artwork, but more to integrate the technique and mix it with your own experience. Then you can achieve great effects. All that to say that I'll be posting some links to tutorials I find interesting for everyone. I hope you'll like them as I do.

I found a wonderful tutorial which shows how to edit out items from a photography you've taken. All that using, as ever, Photoshop. It is very useful to make stock photos better and more appealing : Editing out Items

You can directly modify hue and saturation of your stock photos online by using Photoshop Express. You can also create galeries there. You can take a look at it by following this link : Adobe Photoshop Express

I went to the site yesterday, but there's no information explaining what you can and can't do such as saving. I don't need anymore online albums because it's all I can do to keep up with the stock sites. I use Photoshop Elements, but I like some of the very quick edit features Express has. However, I would like to make edits with the program and save to my hard drive not the online album. Doesn't look like that can be done with Express. - posted by
