I want to show you examples of photos and illustrations that in my opinion have “got gats”, in Poland we say “have this something” or it is “with egg” it means that the creator invent something that is really surprising and amazing. Those photos and illustrations are from my collection called “Unique my favorites” and it is not usual collection, all images in are only related with this amazing idea of their creators. Contrast is the dissimilarity or difference between things, objects, colors. Constrast single out what we want to show on our image gave us specific compound view. We see contrast everywhere, in every aspect of our life. Creating work we single out object or effects specially by abusing it, contrast light to shadow, contrast by color or just structure or sense the objects.

Searching the Dreamstime stock and after watching some not very good film about the ‘greenhouse effect’ global warming I found some catastrophic illustrations and photos I would like to show. We do not realize that this would actually happened to us after sometime. Maybe this could give us some new perspective of perception the world around us.

One month left to celebrating Easter. Everybody are cleaning their houses and preparing for holidays and spring time. It is getting warmer, but sometimes for example NOW wind is blowing like a devil, it is raining with a little smile from the shining sun behind grey monstrous clouds. I am little depressed and never have any idea what to wear before going out for a walk with my dog.

‘INDI is labrador retriver so he is always very happy. Yet grass is green, burgeon trees and happy sinning birds despite the weather, it seems that Easter in Poland will be warm and sunny.

My dog is Labrador retriever. We called him “INDI” to honor the favorite film character of my husband Indiana Jones. My ‘spongy-cake’ dog is three years old, but still behavior like little puppy. He is very happy, likes to sleep a lot and play, if he could all day outside. He is very photogenic so I have lots of photos of him in my portfolio. On of them is my favorite.

There are lots of Dreamstimers with pets, I will like you to introduce me your friends with using only one photo, tell me his/her name, age and character.

Polish landscapes are very beautiful, amazing with their differences. North side of country is almost all mountains geological structures like big, great Sudetes, the Carpathians, the Pieniny, and the Western Tatras, the High Tatras, the Beskids, and the Karkonosze, the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland is one of the oldest mountain ranges on earth.

Opposite to that on north side the Polish Baltic with smooth coastline for the most part. Center of Poland is lowland propitious for agriculture.

Do not forget that Poland have also a desert located in Southern Poland one of only five natural deserts in Europe. We have so many different views at such small land charming beautiful and colorful.

The longest river in Poland is Vistula (Wisła), after that is Oder (Odra), Warta and Bug. River Vistula and Odra are going from the mountains and flow to Baltic See. Those rivers and many others are most beautiful and picturesque. They have been and still are inspiration for poets, painters and even films like At Nemen (Nad Niemnem) based on the novel with the same title. Beautiful landscapes, rapidity, energy in water Polish rivers are also important to people in their ordinary lives and simple work.

Polish cuisine is a mixture of Slavic other Europe traditions. It is rich in meat, especially pork, cabbage especially in dish called ‘bigos’, and spices, as wall as noodles and dumpling like for example ‘pierogi’.

A tradition lunch, in Poland dinner is usually composed of two or three dishes, a first soup, such as ‘barszcz’ beet or ‘rosół’ broth soup of chicken, after that some vegetable salad with boil potatoes and meat like ‘kotlet schabowy’ breaded pork cutlet and after that dessert some cake maybe ‘makowiec’ poppy seed cake or simple ice creams. We have got such specialties as

‘chłodnik’ a chilled fruit soup,

‘golonka’ cooked pork knuckles

Risotto is Italian dish made of rice. Rice is usual cooked on bullion and serve with various sauces. Probably this dish came to Italy from China by the Marco Polo.

This dish is my favorite because of it reach bouquet of different variety flavors. I like risotto made of lots of vegetables, rice and meat for example chicken. Like also rich aroma of carry, red paprika, herb pepper, and also I putt in wiped carrot. That’s all.

Dyngus Day or Wet Monday (Polish Śmigus-dyngus) is the name for Easter Monday in Poland. It is a peculiar custom on this day and it is splashing everyone with cold water. Why, for centuries it was a pagan custom to clear your self and house before Spring will came, after Christianity came to Poland that custom had the same symbolic but related to clear you soul from sins. Pagan custom became a Christian custom and everybody is happy.

It is really a watery day, elderly just asperse heads with perfumes but children and teenagers are really having a fun. Mark of good fun in that day is how many times you will have to go back to home to change your ware. Yung men are driving streets hunting for some girls to splash with cold water, and everyone else. They watch to catch you ...

We have many natural methods to decoration Easter eggs. Krashanky are boiled eggs dyed a single color with boiling them in vegetables, it can be done with some simple methods:

Brown egg- boils in onion peels

Black egg – boils in bark of oak or peels of Italian nut

Yellow egg – boils in bark of young apple tree,

Violet egg – boils in flowers of black mallow

Green egg – boils in burgeon of young rye

Pink egg – boils in beet juice

April Fools’ Day or All Fools’ Day it is celebrated in 1 April in many countries and it is a occasion to hoaxes and other practical jokes doing to your friend, family, enemies and neighbors.

For me it is a joke time, not to hurt anybody, just to deceive, laughing time. Even in television program making jokes with the people by telling some incredible stories.

I am the gullible who is simple to embarrass so I laughing often and everybody have a fun, but that do not bother me.

Wondering how to show the sound sense in a photo I find some examples from many. Illustration is much simpler to do in that point. I found on DT some amazing illustrations of this expression but not many photos. I choose one of them because I think it is really matching for my idea. Even if illustrating is much simpler to create that kind of senses expressions I choose only a few to describe it.

Photo of long figure with loudspeaker instead the head is that one that have that astounding sense,

or simple graphic of beautiful woman listening music with some dreamy background in delicate wave lines,

or illustrations of pulse and shake.

Exact idea as with sound was dedicated to that subject and I found this subject on DT faster then when I was looking for some sound photos. This subject opposite to sound sense is easier to show in a photo then in illustration I think. So at first I show some illustration that matches my idea not as obvious as smelling flower.

I found some incredible smoke illustration with colorful vibration,

obvious but very charming illustration of woman smelling morning coffee in very simple form and brown color,

and very obvious but beautiful photo of childe smelling flower.

Photographing taste sense by showing fruits, people tasting some dishes, showing them eating. Taste sense is better shown on photos then on illustrations. I was searching for some that are really not so obvious like this one.

Dog is tasting a wooden fence, this dog was of course set up but he is so funny,

and this one dog taste buds under microscope really amused me.

I found also some illustration simple outline person tasting some dish – soup I suppose

and photo of spaghetti on fork look really tasty.

Most obvious sense of all is seeing, it makes us who we are illustrators, photographers, designers. Our imagination is also very important to our work. All of that our creations are really matching my idea, but I found like to show some photos and illustrations that really made the point.

To homage all photographers illustration simple and accurate,

to homage all illustrators illustration that have photo roots, beautiful, complex,

and to homage all of us photo of exactly matching idea, observe and have a fun.

People know so many possibilities to hurt them self and others. This capabilities are as many as them self. Unfortunately on Dreamstime I found less those examples then the ones that illustrating people happiness. That is optimistic.

One of most obvious form of suffering is physical pain, when our body is telling us that something is wrong. We show hurt with unhappy, sad faces, objects that could hurt us, body with some color hurting parts.

We suffering also with some psychical way, when we hurt us self with some bad thoughts or someone else is hurting us with words.

It also happened some accidents, some of them are happening because our inattention other by someone else.

Hurt sense is showing us how wonderful ...

Without love our life would be much easier, unfortunately also very boring and empty. We have Valentines Day but what about those who suffering because unhappy love.

Sometimes it is pleasant suffering, but usually when someone break our heart it really hurt and also hard.

We love even when we argue with each other, but it is not so easy to say we are sorry.

We love even if in our life together slipping routine.

It is not easy to break through and say that our love ends.

I was searching Dreamstime to find some little animals I would like to have. This is what I found,

Our house is telling about us everything. We are spending pleasant time in those interiors that really machining our spirit in our house, office or nature. Indoor photos are really interesting me because I have now my little ‘nook’ to decorate, my home with some bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, salon and studio.

Kitchen is open to salon and would like to be modern one in dark brown wood,

but salon would like to have more tradition with simple and homely materials.

Bedroom loved this one because it is what I want to create, this calm spirit of dreaming.

Wroclaw is historical city in region called Lower Silesia in Poland. It is situated on the Oder river.

Population of Wroclaw is very large and compound, officially its population is over 600.000 making it the one of largest city in Poland, but the people living in Wroclaw are also the students that for almost all the year live and study in here. I m the main example of such situation I live in Wroclaw for over nine years but officially I am living in Częstochowa even now.

Wroclaw is very old city with many architecture remnants of time and difficult history. City is compound of Eastern and Western cultures especially German culture. This mix is evident in our architecture and culture. For those who never been to Poland Wroclaw should be the first ...

I research the each DT category to find photos/illustration with largest number of downloads. You should read this blog with images, so see this blog.

In category Abstract the best one is downloaded 578 times it is red velvet theatre curtains more like a background to potential contributor I think. Its ID number is telling me that this photo is one of first on DT.

In category Animals we see swan with 193 downloads it is older photo then the red curtains.

In Art/Architecture red curtain is also the first so I choose second one and its carpet cleaning also very old on DT.

In Business top seller is business meeting with 778 downloads (wow) its id number is also very low.

With my research on DT I found some interesting information about Dreamstime.

Obviously every one knows that the first member on DT is Achilles he has got the oldest photos and has been online since February 15, 2004 as his profile says.

The second one I think was Silviu1977 but he has only one image in portfolio with ID number 259.

Third place is I think ID 300 photo ofJack Schiffer and he has some new downloads so he is still „playing In Dreamstime”.

Fourth place go to Dirtypixelkid.

I remember when I was getting my first steps on Dremastime. I was not sure how the site is working.

At first I upload one photo and wait a hole twenty one days to see that it get online I was so happy for that and upload more photos and I was first measure up wit rejection. It was very painful but still instructive. After that I search the stock to find some advices and interesting information how to make photos, what to upload and how that is working at all. Now after while I think I know much more about the site, community and about making good images. I learn a lot with Dreamstime, thanks to all of you.

My tip for newbie is do not be shy to search DT for advices and ask questions on forums, there are lots of useful information here that could help.

I was looking for some beautiful photos of stairways best in top view and I was not disappointed. Such much different possibility to show the same subject was much inspirited for me. Top view of some not wall exposure stairway gave some incredible visual effects like this one for example

spiral eye with some light window in the middle, or just simple metallic,

round stairway of some fabric going straight to blue sky.

I found also some exclusive, luxury stairways with elevator with lots of beautiful architectural details I suppose whole interior is also very luxury,

and those beautiful old ones with metallic floral balustrade, wooden steps and decorative walls.

All of them are in my opinion extraordinary ...
