Work is pressing me this months: wrapping up a videogame for release is not a relaxing task. I still manage somehow to practice photography, but, even more, i managed to take few days for my self to relax in Bulgaria before the final push to completion. I'm going to Varna in a week, and I can't wait! Bulgaria is a fascinating country, half way between Europe and Asia, it takes from both and blends them together. Still a poor country in western terms, it's growing fast, but the mindset of the people living there still looks anchored to its traditions, which is so interesting to explore. I hope I can come back with some good shots showing life and places in Bulgaria, maybe submit something for my first assignment on DT, if I reach 50 uploaded images. My goal is to save one image per day. If any bulgarian here on DT wants to meet for a coffee in Varna from the 2nd to the 6th, feel free to mail me.

on May 17, 2008 Hi, Francesco! I'm sure you'll have a great time here, in Bulgaria. Unfortunately I'm living in Sofia, so I suppose we may see each other on your next vacation in Bulgaria. Believe me, you'll love it. Looking forward to seeing your further images from Bulgaria. Have a great time, mate! |

on April 28, 2008 I was in Bulgaria about 3 weeks ago - beautiful country with a fantastic nightlife - not sure what Varna is like, because I only got to Sofia and Veliko Tarnova, but I'm sure you'll have a great time! Good luck with the nodding and head shaking... a nod means no, a shake means yes... very confusing! |

on April 28, 2008 Hope so, Bruce. I was there three months ago, so I have an idea of what I want to try. The stone forest is surely something to shoot, since it's so unique. Give a look at this link: http://varna-bulgaria.info/out.html
I will be at The cape of Kaliakra for a day. |

on April 28, 2008 Hi Francesco,
I'm going to the Black Sea Coast for a week in July and I'm really eager to see what you come back with! I haven't started researching the photographic possibilities yet and I'm hoping you can give me some clues. Hope you get nice weather!
Regards, Bruce |
