My next blog entry is all about birds. Ok, so they're not the top selling stock images but shooting them will greatly imporve you photography!

I have ever shot the cats. I think it's more difficult to shoot birds than shoot cats. I agree that the most important point is patience. You really took amazing shoots. I believe you must spent very very long time to keep shooting and shooting.

Lots of useful tips, including your default settings, and that plastic tripod, since I often don't carry my regular one due to weight. Thank you!

the biggest tip of all: patience. must be able to sit in one spot quietly, waiting for the bird to come back. :)
