RAW file in Windows Explorer     posted on 15th of may, 2008

If your OS is "Microsoft Windows", you can't see thumbnails for RAW files without ArcSoft RAW Thumbnail Viewer.

I think it's a very useful software... and it's FREE!

Another easy-to-use software to view your RAW files is FastStone Image Viewer

Here the link to this software:

the Microsoft crap do not work in Windows explorer, maybe for some old formats.
With Arcsoft plugin works like a charm with my Mark III 1Ds.

Actually, Microsoft has developed their own previewer that supports RAW: http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/default.aspx

Haven't tried it since I use Canon's utilities, but it might be worth a look. :)
