Church Ruins In Ireland     posted on 3rd of may, 2008

Recently I photographed this amazing ruin in the West of ireland.

Abbeyknockmoy is in Co. Galway. The name 'Knockmoy' signifies 'the hill of the plain;' and the abbey which shares with it in the designation of the parish, was anciently called 'Monasterium de colle victoriae.' The establishment is said to have been founded and endowed in 1180, by Cathal O'Connor, monarch of Ireland, in commemoration of a victory obtained by him at its site over Almericus de St. Lawrence. Considerable ruins of the edifice, which still exist, contain some frescoes, which, though rude in design, and faded in colour, possess uncommon interest for the antiquary, as the most authentic memorials anywhere to be found of ancient Irish costumes.

The Cistercian Abbey of Knockmoy ...

Some new Designs     posted on 12th of may, 2008

So lately I have been having quite a few of my photo works refused..

which when I actually look back over the photos, I can see why.. poor lighting.. out of focus etc..

So I thought I would try my hand at designs.. and what do you know.. they are all getting approved!! It's all a great learning curve for me!!

Nice work on the designs. Keep it up. I have found that the "Rejected photos" section is a great learning experience. It appears that you are learning the same. - posted by Sstedman on May 16, 2008
They look great, I think they should do well...you are several steps ahead of me, I have not figured out how to do those type of designs. - posted by Moonb007 on May 14, 2008

Sardinia is one of the most stunning places on earth to see. I lived there for a year while ago. You must go to Costa Smeralda if you can, it's in the north. Villa Simius and its costa is beautiful. But stay on the coast, don't go inland, have lots of fun. Cagliari is very cute as well. Perfect time of the year too. - posted by Fcarucci on May 19, 2008
