Welcome to my blog     posted on 11th of july, 2008

Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm not sure what you'll find here. Maybe I'll include a little bit of information on some of the photos I've shot, my feelings, the setting, etc.

For example:

My son and I have little adventures at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. We saw a path going up a hill overgrown with brush and hackberry trees. We made our way through the tangle of thorns and scrub brush with very few cuts and prickles. At the top we saw something emerge and we couldn't beleive our eyes when we saw this statue of Mary.

I found out months later that she had been placed there by students a few years earlier from the near by seminary.

Peace,

Brian

That's true. You'll find many more little stories about our adventures here. Some not as daunting (thorns and such), but all were fun.

sometimes you find pleasant surprises when you take the road less traveled.

    About Me
Brian Humek (Brianhumek)
Irving, US

I have been taking photos since I was six years old. I didn't sell my first photo until about 10 years ago. That's when I began shooting for others and not just myself.

I specialized in rural scenes and cowboy photography. American Cowboy Magazine even wrote a story about my photos and featured a few in their 8th Anniversary issue.

I've now begun attending rodeos and still enjoy rural photography. I also like cities but am just beginning to get out of the photographic box I've kept myself in for so long.

My photography addiction relaxes me on so many occasions, especially when I'm away from people and get into nature.
