New studio lighting kits just right for microstock     posted on 30th of july, 2008

See the construction lights on the left here, they are a thing of the past for those new to microstock. Hey they are cheap, A set at Bunnings or Home Depot is probably just under $25.

A warning though, they get damn hot. And change the bulbs to quality bulbs. But no matter what you do, that horrible halogen yellow is virtually impossible to get rid of.

GOOD NEWS.

I have been in contact with one of the major manufacturers of studio flash gear in China. These kits are normally badged with "a very famous" brand and sold to you at highly inflated prices. Soon, you will be able to buy these right from the factory with a slightly changed name. On the way currently is a set for me to test and review.

Once the review and testing is completed I will post the results and show you the link so you too can buy these right from the source.

The savings are amazing. You will cut out the middle man and save around 200% of what they would sell for in a retail store.

I just bought a 3-light (500watt ea) kit with two umbrellas from Ritz Camera. I have never worked with studio lighting before, so my husband got this for me for my birthday. I am finding that they, too, get very hot, and in a very short time! Could really use something more professional that isn't so hot, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I need an arm or a leg to buy the next camera I want. LOL!

I have been using the same type of lights from Lowes or Home Depot. You are correct, they do get hot, extremely hot.
