They do, they really do!! Got #800 while I was dreaming of #1000 last night.

I also had another P-EL yesterday, and this last month got my first ever photo accepted for an assignment. I was thrilled to have it accepted and thrilled that it finished in the middle of the pack. Did want a tshirt, tho, my wardrobe is a little outdated. The ipod is too much to ask right now, at my level, even if I AM the only person in the world without one (hint hint)........

And I must also add that I was having a problem with a PR attachment yesterday and all of the great folks at DT were on top of it the minute they heard!!!

Now, I'll keep plodding away with all of you, my new friends, trying to learn every day and enjoying this experience with more milestones that give me bragging rights.

Let's see which one gets me there. With one goal, and many tribulations, I should make it. I've had a very busy day and am on edge. I ate ice cream for supper. I'm excited. I think I will see how close to 1000 I can get by the year's end.

How's the weather where you live? I had a great summer until the dry weather and heat hit for 3 weeks in August and then guess what..........

Advertising works and helps us all. I'm in a service industry that can pick up in bad times since I fix furniture you already own and you don't have to replace it. Just because times may slow doesn't mean people aren't still looking. Don't you ever go window shopping? You get a feel of what's out there and keep it in mind for the future or until you like something better. It's human nature to look and dream and a heck of a lot of fun!

People are still looking and we need to figure out the areas they want to see the most. If buyers post and we respond we should hit it dead on.

It just happened--I was trying to get to 100 uploads this month and I made it! I have been going crazy with the summer pictures and I had a chance at 100 so I went for it. It feels good to do something like that and know that I'm progressing. I have invested in a new lens, card and upgraded my Photoshop along the way. Now, when I have a quiet month I can just review some older shots and work on them.

Do you really mean to tell me that the month of July is half gone??? I can't believe it! One more hot one to go and then the beautiful changes will take place. It's been a good summer, we have done many things.

It may be messy, but eating cold watermelon is a delight to the kids.

We've gone to pick fresh fruit and berries.

Had to wait on the showers to stop some days, but need the rain so--no complaining.

Thanks to all of this, I have now gotten over 600 pictures in my portfolio! I can only hope that the fresh, vibrant, and alive quality will appeal to the buyers, if not this year, maybe the next. I can't seem to stop because ...

I have been here almost a year now, I didn't get much on for the first few months but things have been going well lately. My family and friends have let me photograph them and I've also done a lot of other things. I have read the message boards constantly and learned from others, thanks for having that available to me! So now here are my shortcomings that I will admit to:

1) I love to write but I can't spell, so a double thanks for the spell check.

2) I will start working on a photo, save it, and forget to finish the editing process before uploading.

3) I will sometimes upload the wrong file.

4) Oops, you mean I need a release for that?

5) I take too many shots trying to decide how to frame a picture.

6) I totally mess up the settings and therefore miss a great opportunity.

7) Now,...

Please come and enjoy some of the children in my life. I just got 8 new photos on line and have a lot more ready to submit! If you like or need photos of kids having fun in the summer some of these may make you smile. It's been a great beginning to our fun this year but the time is going by too quickly--we just can't seem to get everything done! I think I'm wearing out my camera and lens and may need to replace them soon--so buyers, please help me fund my hobby/business. The kids may outgrow their desire to pose for me so I want to take full advantage of them now! I have a collection of "Kids and Other People" with different seasonal shots, also.

While I was out taking pictures this morning I got to 500 uploads!! It's been a lot of work and I am truly enjoying this. I hope my portfolio will entice the buyers and maybe even some will leave me a message about where the images were used. Now, I need to put in many hours looking at what I shot this morning and getting them ready so I can hopefully bump my number up a lot more!
