The Journey of Photography

posted on 26th of august, 2008

One of the many benefits of photography is that we can chronicle our journeys. As a stock photographer, I try to incorporate my travel into my quest to produce high quality stock images that will meet some need of the market.

At present, I'm working on a project in the NYC area. But I live east of Dallas and weekly make the trip from Dallas to the NYC area.

So my journey starts at DFW - trying to catch pictures of jets landing...

Then, I've been able to shoot from NJ looking across to NYC....

Then, in the high plains of the Texas Panhandle....

From the magnificant canyons of Caprock Canyon State Park in Texas...

Then, in the Rocky Mountains in Southern Colorado...

From Governor's Island - just off the tip of Manhattan....

and finally from deep underneath NYC in the subways....

What a great opportunity - to see such a great diversity and to try in some small way to capitalize upon it for great stock images. Not bad for about 4 weeks' time huh?

David.
