Saints day     posted on 11th of october, 2008

In Poland Saints Day is more honoring our dead relatives then celebrating death, monsters or spooky things. It is a sad celebrating. We go to churches in that day, pray for our dead and even when someone is not going to church dutiful is visiting his dead on cemetery, to light up the candle for beloved died members of family or/and friends. Sometimes is difficult because we live far away from them, but in that day matter only that we remember and have that memory in our harts.
So when I can not come to my home town when all dearest are, I come to nearest cemetery and light up the candle on grave that is looking neglected and I pray for all my dead, maybe there is someone like me in my home town doing the same, but I don’t worry about that their is always someone that remember to tidy grave, light up the candle and pray.
I wish you not happy not sad but contemplative Saints Day
