What has microstock bought you in 2008

posted on 15th of october, 2008

Is microstock sales feeding your camera habit? Does for me.

During the year of 2008 the commissions have bought me:

Sigma 10-20 EX DC lens
Canon 50mm MkII f1.8 lens
Canon 24-105mm L IS lens
ETTL camera flash unit
Set of 3 studio lights
A Sekonic light meter
4 gig memory card
A Cokin ND filter set
Infra red shutter release
Set of hiking gear, shoes, camera vest, shorts

March 2009 should see me the new Canon 5D MkII

What have you got out of this

Nice Topc! I just got myself a SB600 flash and it gives a lot of new opportunities for shooting in home. Yeah!

Hello Py

I went with the 24-105 because of the IS. Lots of pros tell me it is the best walk around lens for the 5D - which I hope to buy. I am at the stage where I am only interested in prime lenses because they are the keepers, you tend to upgrade your camera, but you keep the prime lenses.

Well, consider yourself VERY fortunate. I just started this microstock habit. So far the only earning I have are from keywording! Lol, and those could barely even buy me a pack of gum! I sure hope sometime really soon, I at least get my first sale!
