Importance of professional photography skills in stock photography     posted on 26th of november, 2008

>Are professionally trained photographers more likely to have better sales than amateurs who make wonderful photos as well? Is it really important to know all the skills and secrets of photography to become a successful stock photographer? Is it important for the buyer to know if the photo he is purchasing was taken by a professional or not?

I think creativity plays as much a part as photographic skills. I am far from being a professional photographer, but I have learned to use my little camera and photoshop to create something that the buyers seem to like. So, I am very happy with what I have learned and each and every sale makes me feel like I am doing something right.
