How to make money with DT-1

I'm a freelance illustrator. Illustration is not just a hobby for me, it's a job. I'm used to have clients who want this, that, and that one. Clients that have ideas, but not clear ideas, and your due is to find something in their mind and put it on paper. And after each project, you have to find another client with another idea... Very tiring...
This was my job before DT. Today I'm thinking about saving all the money I use to promote my freelance work and finding clients. I'm considering the idea of working full-time for DT. Working for DT is PURE FREEDOM. I love it.
So I'm trying to be an active part of the community.
And I think I can give some suggestion for all the illustrators that want to make money with DT.

1 - Make it with dedication and enthusiasm.
DT doesn't give you tomorrow-deadlines....

although am a photographer but a illustrator!!
And if you think "for nearly 1 US$ per download this is the best I can do..." you will NEVER make money with DT that is beatiful!!

First of all: thanks to everyone have given a contribute to my first blog article.
I'm trying to write something useful and seeing my article listed at the first place of Dt Useful articles is really a great goal for me.

But now let's talk about "How to make money with DT". I know that having thousands of amazing images in your portfolio is a good thing for making money on DT. But I'm trying to give some more suggestions, thinking that all of you are working hard to make such a gorgeus portfolio.

2 - Be a lively and active part of the community

The web is a great community. If you have a web site, you may know that you're perfecly alone if you don't have web partners, links to your site, people who speaks about your work, in two words WEB FRIENDS.

Hey, i agree with this blog, very true! I want to share more the tips i have leant through DT, i dont have a massive portfolio, but i sure have learnt so much by being an active part of this online community!
