Horseback ranch in Brasov county

posted on 22nd of may, 2008

Two years ago i visited a countryside villa near Brasov city. I was impressed about the horses from the ranch.
The ranch disposes of highbreed steeds: 4 Friesen (Dutch origin) and 2 Rassa Espaniola (PRE). The horsemanship can take place in a ridding school, especially arranged for the beginers or in the free field for the advanced learners. The horses and the horsemanship are famous in all the county of Brasov. They livery stable for medieval entertainments.

You cand find the ranch in Brasov county, at 20 km distance from Brasov city in Romania.

In 1421 the settlement was devastated but in 1432 the Turkish invasion couldn’t conquer it, which means that the protective walls around it were already overs. Later on, the Medieval Fortifications of Brasov were developed in several stages, being completed in 1641, with the new Goldsmith`s Bastion on the North-Eastern side of them.
