Soaring to new heights     posted on 15th of january, 2009

This morning I got up, made my coffee and checked my stats , which is how I usually start my day. I was pleased to see my earnings balance had gone up during the night (which I know because I check my stats right before bed too! Lol!), and saw it was my most popular photo that had another sale. Even more exciting was that this sale put the total earnings for this image at over $100!

I thought when I joined Dreamstime, that the levels system seems like an interesting idea, and a very good way to rewards submitters for a successful image. And even though I didn't really expect any of my photos to make it very high, of course I hoped they would. This image has exceeded all my expectations; it has been at level 4 for quite a while and now breaking that $100 earnings barrier makes me believe that anything is possible.

So if you are just starting out or feel a little discouraged that sales are not as high as you hoped, hang in there and keep submitting your best images. Some day you may be writing a blog with a similar success story... I will look forward to reading it.

Love your photos, especially the birds. I'm guessing you live in the Pacific Northwest, because your birds are so similar to my birds. I used one of your Black-headed Grosbeak photos for my Birds of Central Oregon page at http://toynutz.com/birds.html. Check it out! - posted by Toynutz on August 28, 2010
