We Are Going On A Cruise!

We are going on a vacation next month - checking off one of our "bucket list" items. A full transit of the Panama Canal! Our cruise starts off in San Diego. Then on to Cabo San Lucas.

Then Acapulco, Mexico. Maybe we will go see the high divers?

Next is Huatulco, Mexico. I'm hoping to get into town to a market, but no matter what, it will be beautiful.

Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala is our next stop. There is a coffee plantation tour that might be interesting. Unfortunately my dear husband's heart condition precludes us from climbing the volcano.

Costa Rica is next, at the port of Puntarentas. I'm looking forward to seeing this beautiful place.

The highlight of the trip comes next: a full transit of the Panama Canal. That will take all day.

Our final stop will be Grand Cayman Island. I've already booked the Atlantis submarine tour! We pull into Miami 15 days after leaving San Diego. Our final two days of vacation will be on South Beach...

then back home again.

I'm sure I'll have tons of photos, and hopefully at least a few will be accepted here!

First, there is a fabulous Butterfly farm in Costa Rica, they offer tours and it's a great place for macro shots. Second, Grand Cayman, I was lucky enough to live there for a few years -- One of the best tours is swimming with the stingrays. The rays gather about 2 miles off shore, the water in many areas is only a few feet deep with wonderful visibility so you can get some fabulous shots of these amazing creatures as they swim. Have fun!
