Color me...TURQUOISE, Pantone color of 2010

Not without reason, design industries have proposed a palette of extremely bold colors for some years now. Any dull outfit and drab setting look fabulously fresh with touches of fuchsia, coral, lucite green or deep ultramarine here and there. While only fashion and interior decoration seem to have been greatly influenced by colors in the past, the new daring palette has recently liven up other industries as well - hi-tech among others. Along with fabrics and materials, cuts and designs, we keep a vigilant eye on color now more than ever. Be they clothes, shoes, accessories, cars or home appliances, laptops, mobile phones, wall paints or bathroom tiles, color has very often had the final say when selling these products. And if you're wondering what's in for this year, Pantone, the worldwide authority on color for design industries announced that the trend-setting color of 2010 is turquoise. This shade of cyan is said not only to remind people of tropical sky and water, of calmness and getaways but to also have a tremendous impact on the 2010 creative industry. And since this industry is one of stock's major markets, "stockers" are more than recommended to take the recently crowned color of the year as chromatic guideline for 2010 shootings. In strong contrasts with neutral tones or paired with similar colors, turquoise is a must for models' clothes, setting or props. It can be the tropical paradise water, the flower pot in the window, the model's makeup, the cheerful sofa fabric or the executive's tie. Grey, black, white or blue have long been considered the timeless colors of office suits but you can always complement them with turquoise accessories and why not, a bold turquoise piece of clothing. i love cyan tones. the great master of photography had always favourite cyan as they believe it's the colour of romance, or romanticism. cyan also tends to make skin look blemish free as our skin blemish contains red.
as for turquoise being a favourite this year, i did not think it ever lost its place as being one of the favourite colours. after all, blue skies, water, vapour, moisture in the air,etc.. all contain a large degree of turquoise or cyan. it's the colour of what entails life. even we, being mostly water, are made up of cyan.

Very interesting and informative. Thank you so much. I've noticed several television shows favoring light shades of turquoise in their logos and wondered what they knew that I didn't:-) Now I know, thanks to your generous sharing of information.
