Winter Photography     posted on 14th of january, 2010

Winter photography has always been an interesting time for me because it's always been somewhat of a challenge for me to find the color in what is basically a black and white world at least when it comes to the wide angle landscapes that I love to photograph. I would be interested in finding out what my fellow photographer think of or look for when doing photography in the winter?

>Favorite Saying " You Don't Need To Know Where The Next Photograph Is Coming From All You Have To Do Is Imagine It And Then The Possibilities Are Endless " When I go on my walkabouts around Newfoundland Canada or anywhere for that matter there is a time in every trip where I get this feeling of anticipation and being of one with my surroundings and everywhere I look is a photo opportunity. It's like I don't even have to see it and I can just visualize or imagine the picture and turn around and it's there and I like to call this being in the zone. There is a time in every walkabout or journey that I take [Some Of My Fellow Photographers Will Know This feeling] When I'm framing a particular image that I just seem to be overtaken by a overwhelming feeling I can't quite describe and it's usually at this point I stop for a moment and stand in awe and amazement and appreciate what has been created in front of me. I guess one of my favorite photographers Ansel Adams put it best and I quote " Sometimes I Do Get To Places Just When God's Ready To Have Somebody Click The Shutter ".
