Dreamstime can be fattening

posted on 25th of january, 2010

Before I started to contribute to micro stock photography and Dreamstime, I was not much into food. From childhood, I had a nasty habit, as my "ama" (servant) who cooked meals for my father's house had to endure, of putting food as least importance on my priority list. It wasn't often that the loving ama , an old chinese lady as old as my grandma and one who also loved and pampered me as her own grandson, waited for me till past midnight to knock on my chamber door to remind , "your dinner is getting cold, you should eat before sleeping. I need to sleep too for your daddy needs to be served early". Dear old ama was like our guardian angel, and she probably is one now, as that was some many years ago when I was a wee child.
Food, is not something I enjoy "pigging out" on. It was not that vital to me. Needless to say, when I was a wee child I was a skinny runt, with a tummy , umm, what tummy, as many of my aunties used to tease, "tan, where is your tummy?" lol.

But all this has changed a lot since I started making pictures for Dreamstime and other micro stock sites. It all began with me thinking to become picky and choosy when I shop for groceries.
Since food is not that important to me, it really doesn't matter what I buy. So I actually shopped for stock, ha!ha!... but for a different kind of stock. Not to stock my shelf in my kitchen , but for micro stock ha!ha!
Worst, by the time I arrange my shoot to make it look nice and delicious enough for buyers of micro stock to want to buy my images , it also made me want to eat the food once I am finished with the shoot.

And you know? I am beginning to enjoy my food. Except you know what? I am beginning to have a tummy which was never there before in all those amazing years I was able to survive without food, ha!ha!

Perharps, it's not a crisis for me , as skinny as I still am.
But it can be an emergency for those who are on a constant diet.

So, for those of you who want to slim fast and not pay exorbitant
fees on diet and slimming, why don't you email me
and learn some of my secrets to keeping skinny.
I will tell you my life story, ha!ha!

Just don't start to make food photographs for Dreasmtime. If you do, and you get FAT-ter,
weeeellll, don't say I didn't warn you , ha!ha!

Enjoy your photography.
Essalam , God Bless, Live well and prosper !

Lots of things I wasn't into before I started stock photos - stock photos take you to strange places sometimes :-) Anyway, I'll eat your berries and stay slim!
