Reached 3 milestones and reworked an old image posted on 17th of february, 2010

Hi Everyone! :)

I'm feeling in a celebratory mood today and thought I would share my good mood with you.

I've reached three milestones. The first is reaching my first $100 earnings, I actually passed it a couple of days ago. The second milestone was having my first level two image, that happened this morning :)

So I want to say a great big "THANK YOU" to all the people out there that have been buying my images and also thank you to all of you for your support over this past year. That's a third milestone, I've been here at Dreamstime for 1 year now.

Lately I've been looking back over my portfolio and looking at how far I've come since I started here. I've learned so much over this past year from my rejections, and my accepted images. I've learned a lot about Photoshop but I could really do to learn more. So I thought I would share an image that I had accepted way back in April last year and then show you the new improved image I've replaced it with. I have re-enabled the old image just for this blog.

This is the original image (on the right) it had 27 views no downloads It doesn't capture what I had in my mind when I took it. And it's been annoying me for a while.

This is the new improved image (on the left) it has had 16 views and 1 download

I feel the new image represents the image I originally had in my mind when I took the picture but due to lack of knowledge wasn't able to make at that time. Just goes to show that sometimes it's not the idea that was bad and it's worth revisiting some concepts again.

PS thought I should mention that the first image had 27 views in 8m months and the second image has had 16 views in 16 days! Big difference

	congrats to you . i too had my first payout last month. and from the way things are going, it seems that downloads come more frequently after the first payout. at least that's what my friend Creativei told me. so far it appears to be true. i hope it works out for you too. enjoy ... don't spend all the $100 on photography. although i did exactly just that. lol - posted by Tan510jomast on February 23, 2010
