Do not buy from CRAZYCAMERAS.COM     posted on 12th of march, 2010

Dear friends and photographers:

I had a bad experience with this company, I owned a 50mm f1.8 lenses, they are great lenses but unfortunately my one fell on the floor and broke. I found a replacement in Crazycameras for a good price. I did not hesitate to buy one as the website seemed like a secured one.
That was on the 13 of January, still waiting for it. They have a telephone number which never works, you can not cancel your order and I have sent 100's of e-mails only to get the same stupid answer " problems with shipment "

If you google crazycameras reviews you'll see 1000's of people with the same problem ( some of them spend 1000's of dollars )

So Be aware of this "Scam" because they will take your hard working money for nothing!!

I learnt that:

1 Check the reviews before buying
2 Do pay with credit card because Debit cards won't cover you for fraud
3 Spend a little more money and buy stuff from a recognisable company

I'm posting this blog because I know how hard is to earn a bit of money from microstock and I don't want you guys to be in the same situation unfortunately I'm

Hope It has been useful

Sorry for the loss, too!! I think this is true not only for camera but every kind of online shop. Once I just was about a click away to give away my credit card neumber for mp3 download, but then googled the company and stepped back. Thanks for the very informative blog. - posted by Bramble100 on March 24, 2010
Sorry to hear of your bad luck and thanks for the heads up on them - posted by Chunshine on March 22, 2010
So sorry to hear about your bad experience, and thanks for cautioning us about websites not all being what they seem. Sadly being too trusting does one no good these days. Cheers Karen - posted by Freedomphotos on March 16, 2010
When I'm planning to make an on line purchase, I always check the vendor at http:www.resellerratings.com to see what others have written about their experiences with them. In the case of crazycameras.com they only have 1 review (maybe you wrote it) and it was bad. Sorry you got stung by them.

Oh no!! That's horrible! I learnt from my mistake when I bought a camera (compact) from camerabox and the next day my visa got hacked thus happened to 3 other people I know and loads of googlers. I'm googling the sites before I buy now - posted by Keki on March 13, 2010

Sorry for your loss. I hope you can sort it out. Thanks for the warning :) - posted by Wildmac on March 12, 2010
Hi Anne thanks for the tip, see the problem is that I'm from U.K and nothing to do bbb - posted by Jonvitalija on March 12, 2010
Thanks for the heads up! Looks like they have a bad rep at the Better Business Bureau (F rating). However, it does look like they seem to respond better to complaints brought to them by the BBB, so you might want to go to them and file a complaint. They might be able to act as an intermediary and get you some degree of satisfaction. - posted by Adpower99 on March 12, 2010

Sorry for your loss! It's good to inform about the recommended places & to warn about the un trustful ones! Thanks! - posted by Mani33 on March 12, 2010
yes, it is important to shop with a store that is reputable. i seldom shop for cheaper prices. as many of the top stores will meet their competitors prices.
of course, if you're buying used , it's not the same.

I feel sorry for your experience. There are just too many online scams nowaday. I usually check the seller rating before I place my order. One reliable seller review site is www.resellerratings.com. - posted by Kenishirotie on March 12, 2010
Sorry to hear about your luck, but I appreciate the warning. I always try to buy things online with a credit card because the credit card companies always help with disputes. Additionally, it seems like there ought to be a website where people can go to review consumer websites. I have found epinions.com, but they don't seem to have the companies I am ever looking for. If anyone can suggest a site - especially a site that reviews photography equipment selling websites - that would be great.

I hope it works out for you!
