Marketing your images on Social Networks

Dreamstime does a great job at representing and marketing our images. Can we help too?
I'd say yes, and I'm looking at ways to drive more traffic to my profile, hoping to improve sales, while I also try to improve my technical and compositional skills.
Some marketing vehicles I'm considering:
Facebook. Dreamstime pulled the technical side off with a nice little application that connects our profiles to our Facebook page. I suggest to create a Fan page for our photography on Facebook and connect Dreamstime to it: each and every fan will be notified automatically when we upload new images. Neat and effortless, the way I like it.
Twitter. There's no automation for Twitter just yet, so we need to manually link new images when we upload a new batch. Not as effortless, but may helps build up traffic.
A quick hint: don't only provide links to your images, but also information, news, stories, hints. Your fans will come back to your pages in search of new content, where they will also find your images.
Feel free to add me to Facebook and my Twitter @FranImagery.

Thanks everyone for your good feedback. I personally prefer to not spam automatically, but to control the flow of information towards social networks: there's nothing worse than being ignored cause we are spamming automatically. Better to provide lively information to engage who's following us.

I was against this social media, but now its been very effective, I'm promoting two sites through these social media. Yeah you are right we can all do it, TOGETHER WE CAN ( thats my new slogan for Yachts Arabia site) I would like some improvement in the facebook connect application, the application should publish automatically instead of the manual way it does now.

Nice ideas . I think it is also possible for us to contribute to DT advertising budget with small amounts.
