Cheap Advertising     posted on 20th of march, 2010

Here's my solution for advertising on a dime!
Since I have business cards for my furniture business already I decided to make use of those to advertise my Dreamstime portfolio, also. Business cards from Vista Print are cheap http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/default.aspx?GP=3%2f20%2f2010+11%3a26%3a33+AM,
so I ordered some with my referral URL (in large print) on them. Then I glued the two cards together. That's how I hand them out. It drives people crazy!! They always try to tear them apart! But it gets both sides noticed and I only have to hand out one card.

Hello, and once again thanks for adding your comment to my blog.
You're so regular there, you have to make sure to keep coming back to my blog adding your tuppence worth , or else I would wonder as your absence would be conspicuous ,lol.
Well, here's mine to reciprocate.
I 've never been successful with business cards. They all seem to want my self-portraits whenever I let them choose which card to take from me. But they don't seem to come back to give me business. lol.
Seems like the ones who merely scribble my phone number are the ones who do come back to hire me.
What do you think? Am I just a pretty face of what? lmao

And they let me design my own cards without saying...lack of composition, too many of the same, etc! - posted by Noonie on March 28, 2010
I can tell you definitely have a sense of humor! :D

I have gotten cards from VistaPrint also! And car magnets for my workplace!!! I love the price and things usually get printed well.

Decoupage art is nice! :) - posted by Maigi on March 21, 2010
Good idea, Maigi, or I could turn the whole piece of furniture into decoupage art!! - posted by Noonie on March 21, 2010
LOL good idea. Next project: glue printout of some of your images on the bottom or back of your furniture. :) - posted by Maigi on March 21, 2010
That could be fun, too! :)) - posted by Noonie on March 21, 2010
Great idea Susan! I've used vistaprint in the past too. You can download their templates for things so that it streamlines the designing and printing process. Anything that makes things easier has to be good ;)

Have you ever tried printing P.T.O. on the bottom of both sides? ;P That should keep everyone busy for a while :))))

Thanks, Lin!

No, Claudio, one doesn't hurt the other. They are both things that people are interested in. And neither one will make me rich, anyway. :(( They just keep me busy so I won't get into trouble... most of the time. :)))

A profession does not detract seriously the other? Just asking. Here in Argentina is supposed to do only one thing, but salaries are so low that in general we are all like Mac Gyver ... or as men orchestra. :)) - posted by Claudiofichera on March 20, 2010
Hi susan:)

I like driving people crazy, Marilyn. Dan, sometimes I also glue cards onto magnets. They have those little sticky back business card magnets at Lowe's, maybe Home Depot. - posted by Noonie on March 20, 2010
I have cards from there also. Thinking about redoing the cards to get better results. - posted by Dan1 on March 20, 2010
Imaginative thinking Susan! :) - posted by Marilyngould on March 20, 2010
So far it works and I don't have to dress in "fish-net" clothing and stand on the street! ;))))) - posted by Noonie on March 20, 2010
Cool Susan! Now that sounds smart ;) - posted by Mani33 on March 20, 2010
