Following a thread by Dan1, I had an interesting discussion with Mani33 on the correlation between N/A sales and collections.
Here are some statistics that may interest you. About 33% of my sales show as N/A sales.
This means that the buyer did not access my image through a specific keyword but found it through another way. This could be by browsing through a collection or directly looking at my portfolio; accessing my photo previously saved in his/her light box; seeing my photo on a promotion banner (such as latest uploads) or on a partner site; etc. etc.
50% of my images sold with the mysterious N/A label belong to one or more collections. I do not have free images yet, so my buyers could not have been tempted to browse through my portfolio this way.
My statistics are not significant enough to draw any conclusions of course, but they certainly show that we have to take advantage of all means at our disposal to promote our images, including the collections.
The photos shown on this blog were all2 N/A sale. Feel free to add your own N/A sales photos and stats below.
Among my favourite collections are
Love That Expression by Raycan,
Trees by Gina Rothfels and
Over The Rainbow by Annalia.
