Waiting for holidays? NO!

posted on 26th of may, 2010

Are you waiting for Christmas, St. Valentine´s Day, Easter or Halloween to upload holiday images?
Do you feel uncomfortable uploading christmas images during the summer months?
Don´t worry! ;)
I have made the experience that christmas images are even downloaded in springtime! Here are a some examples of downloads:

And maybe (if I´m lucky) those images will also be purchased in summer!
Don´t feel uncomfortable uploading such photos and illustrations at any time you want!

My next target is to upload even more images for holidays and celebrations in order to have a bigger selection for my personal collections which are:
Merry Christmas! --- Be My Valentine! --- and --- Happy Easter!

Thanks for reading! Your comments/opinions are welcome!

Thanks very much for your comments! :) Yes, everything is possible in the microstock-photography area!!!

The good thing about micro-stock is that images are always there available for anyone at any time.

that's a good idea. thanks

This is especially true in magazine publishing. Many magazines work months in advance -- even some quarterly newsletters are already working on their fall/winter editions.

Yes Mariaam:)Today i sold a Xmas photo too so a holiday image can sell any time:)Congratulations also!

Thats true.
Any picture can sell any time.
For example some one may be preparing a write up to be published in December for which he/she may be collecting all the relevant data/pictures well in advance.

Thanks for your opinion, Thanatonautii! I have made this experience and wanted to share with you! I know it seems strange, but it´s very important to know that those images can be purchased at any time of the year. So why not uploading them during the whole year for having a big variety in the portfolio!? ;)
Posted by Thanatonautii on May 26, 2010
Hmmm...This is strange! As far as i know it is better to upload the holiday images with one month before the holiday will happen. Anyway it`s great that you have sales of this kind of pictures with many months before they happen :)
Thanks for the info and congrats for your sales!
