The 2010 FIFA World Cup event, hosted here in South Africa, has seen many exciting & new adventures for everyone all over.
Not least of which is myself …
I have been very busy running all around town recording as much of the frenzy as I can, with the limited few resources that I have at my disposal currently.
I have been very hard at work to get the images uploaded & tagged etc … and have been quite frequently sending requests for priority reviews [which have for the most part been successful — a special thanks to the team tasked with these requests].
So here are a few of the new additions that I really favor [although there are just too many for me to properly shortlist them, and in no particular order] …
[There are just so many more that are still waiting approval process … that I just can't be tasked to make a selection at this point … so keep checking back my portfolio to see all that are becoming accepted each new day that passes.
I see that I have even had three images selected in the News Section:
World soccer cup, South Africa - June 2010
Two of which have also already seen sales generated.
But, most notably is the selection of one of my images into the very prestigious segment of DT's database, that being the Editor's Choice section, which needles to say I am VERY proud to announce.
Sadly - no sales on this super image as yet - and as SA are out of the running, perhaps no sale is as likely as if we were still in contention, but no matter as the image stands as a true reflection of the South African spirit behind the event … Well done to all, and to all the fans who continue to support the event, Thank You for making the event a memorable & life lasting memory for many citizens of our world.
I'll exit here as this seems a good point for my honorable exit …
Until next time …

Winner … Can't say - But I'd love for Ghana to at least get thru their next game. I have to as they are the last hope for the entire continent!
But I would bet that it will be a South American team who come out top. Although I gotta say that my German roots are also wishing for some victory there … So as you can see I am quite torn, but at least I can say — As long as there is a champion I will be super proud to say that I was here in Africa, when it got here for the first time on record.

ZAKUMI — is his name. The story behind which is: ZA, stands for South Africa's international country code Kumi, means 10 in many of the official indigenous languages, that we have here. Of which there are many, as we have 11 official languages here.
[I'm not sure, but there are not too many other lands that have as many languages officially recognized as official tongue.]

no worries mate … I'm not that far [in the scheme of things when viewed in a world wide perspective, as JHB is only ±1600kms from CT, but at the present moment my current financial position is just makes that 1600kms feel like 1.6mil miles away!
I would've love to go to another match and get more images … and am hopeful that I will perhaps get lucky enough to squeeze one more ticket out for at least one more of the last few games here in JHB, but as I say — It's not looking to good at the moment, cash flow status …

Mani33 - As the next game that Portugal are playing is in Cape Town, and also as there are only Cat1 level tickets available, I'm afraid to say that I will not be able to afford to cover that one … well that is unless I can find a sponsor to help me cover the costs of flying there and purchasing my ticket for the game … but I would have loved to be able to sort you out there, if I had the resources …
