Going exclusive = more work focus     posted on 24th of november, 2010

I'm registered (or was) to many micro-stock agencies (7 or more) and it gets really difficult to manage all these micro stock criteria opposing to using one agency.

So I had to decide to put all my eggs in one basket because my income will go up. Here are a few reasons why I think being exclusive with dreamstime will exceed the profit from all 7 agencies together:

- First of all the higher commissions.
- Secondly the upload bonus.
- Thirdly the higher portfolio visibility
- The following reason makes the difference: The new work focus. I'll increase my work power if I focus on just one agency, one way of submitting, one market research... everything will go faster.

Right now I'm still closing down my accounts with the other agencies.

I'll give you my feedback in the future with the new earnings from exclusivity. Until then have a nice day

Wow .. your files / sales ration is stunning ;)
Congrats on going exclusive.

Maybe I'll think about it when I get over the thousands ;D
For now I'm with 5 agencies altogether and even though DT is the friendliest and the more user friendly in terms of work .. I've only got one sale so I'll focus on increasing my port for now ...

Congrats for taking this step! Good luck!

@ P0temkin No, it is not harder! Same conditions for exclusive and non-exclusive members. That´s the experience I have made.

With the upload bonus as an exclusive, is it harder to get images approved? Anyone experienced this? - posted by P0temkin on November 25, 2010
Congratulations! Sure you'll save a lot of time and efforts on uploading and focus more on producing the images. I took the same desicion and now waiting when I can delete my pics from other agencies (in some of them 90 days since the upload date must pass before you can remove) - posted by Julia161 on November 25, 2010
Congratulations! I did the same and since I am exclusive my sales continue to grow because my images have a very good search placement. I am very pleased I did this. Dreamstime was the right choice! - posted by Mangroove on November 25, 2010
i've been thinking of going exclusive for a while now - i don't have a large port but i def don't have the time to upload on other sites and DT is def my fave - please keep me posted as i think in the new year i'll be taking the same step towards being exclusive on DT. - posted by Frantab01 on November 25, 2010
I tend to agree, if you don't sell your photos in any other way. I attribute my portfolio of 2200 images to going exclusive - before that I was kind of half interested, few sales here and there. Going with one agency helped me learn what needed to be done to get my photos out there. Some say that it helps being at lots of agencies so your rejects can sell elsewhere - but the opposite view is that if you upload in one place you can focus only on what sells there, and have few rejects. You'll certainly find you get higher RPD ! - posted by Bradcalkins on November 24, 2010
