Physi28 a credit can be used for buying a newbie image for example or any image you want including your own images & the revenue is your's!!

I think your profile info must be complete as well in order to receive credits.

What I am not sure about is the use you can make of your credits, if you are a buyer it is clear but what if you are just a contributor?

Writing a useful blog means, adding to the knowledge of the members about something related to photography, a potential of increasing sales, good tips for improving, helping to discover something... Or even well written or covered subject about an important issue! I can't remember how many free credits I have got from blogs... (Many)!
By the way blogs are useful if an admin read it & decide that it's useful, NOT always depend on the number of clicks on the useful buttons! It happened that I got a credit from writing a blog even before anybody could click the useful button :)
Another thing is that the number of unique replies is what makes your blog on the top of hot blogs list, so if you comment so many times on your own blog, it doesn't help to make it high ranked on the list unless it really got many replies! Hope this helped :)

Writing a useful blog has another effect namely bringing buyers to look at your portfolio......... that's probably more important for increasing your sales than credits from the Editors.

if I'm not mistaken your blog will be credited if a certain amount of users find it useful. :) - posted by Keki on December 19, 2010

I believe that blog credits are earned only if you write a blog that imparts useful information, like writing about how to successfully keyword images, using different lighting techniques, how to use post-processing effects in PS, taking great studio shots and so on.

Credits are not earned for those four line blogs that are about, for example, birthdays or having your first image reach Level 2....unfortunately you won't earn any credits for this blog ;-) but if write about a topic that helps people improve their skills you will earn credits! I think..... - posted by Melonstone on December 19, 2010
