What flower is your favorite? This question I have got some days ago from one of my friend. I admit it was hard for me to answer it. I love flowers and they are always in our flat, of course much more in summer.
I love to make photos of flowers and with flowers. But I also love to watch images with flowers. I have seen many beautiful images in DT with flowers. They are used in so various ways, these images show how flowers are a beautiful part of our life. That´s why I have started a new collection:
Flowers in our life
I want to pick up flowers in balcony, flowers in wellness concept, flowers with people, flowers like a decoration, flowers...
(re-edited) Being a fella, I was never the type for flowers, other than giving them to my lady friends. But one flower remained special to me from my first visit to the African Continent. I was travel across Tunisia and my first moment outside Tunis airport, I was sold a jasmin pin (buds of jasmin on a palm needle). I piad one dinar for it, and the happy pedlar stuck the pin between my left ear. Loving the scent, I left it there, inbeknowst of the olden custom that it signifies a man looking for a wife. Anyway, to cut this already long story short. I set out to find a jasmin bush as I was enchanted by the fragrance. I found it on my second last day along Yasmin Hammamet while strolling the marina. I hope to return this year (InshAllah, as the tunisiens say God willing) to visit this fabulous land, when I will again enjoy the fragrance of this tiny , simple , immaculate flower that symbolises purity and love.
I think I have mentioned it sometimes here in DT that I have started like
a writer. In my country I have written many books for teenager (romance),
some astrological books and a few books for children and many, really many
articles - esp. with esoteric and mystic topics.
Indeed, it was due to my articles I have started a photographic "journey".
Now it looks impossible with so many photostock agencies, but some years
ago it wasn´t this way. Indeed, graphics complained several times to me,
something like: "Nice article about soul, but where to take a suitable image for that?"
Step by step I have realized that it would be the best to make my images
for my articles. My husband teached me visual tecnics. In two years, I have started
to get request even just for images. The...
Wow! I don't know how I missed this blog. I don't know any publishers but your comment about the Australian producer got me thinking. We have a few directors here in New Zealand that like producing fantasy films.
Mark Adamson, he's based in LA in the US, he directed Shrek & Shrek2 and also The chronicles of Narnia, the lion the witch and the wardrobe.
There is also Peter Jackson who made The Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong, both using Weta Workshops to create the characters and special effects needed.
I don't know who you would need to contact down here to get your work seen but it seems like a good idea to try to find out. I wish you the best of luck with your writing and hope that one day soon I will be going to see one of your movies :) Take care, Carol :)
like you, my love for written words came way before my exposure (bad pun) to photography. however, i never really seem to want to make the twains meet. i write lyrics and music, but not words to photography. not sure why. maybe it's because it's two mediums whereas composing a song it's one. or maybe it's because i started composing music as a wee teenager so it's more second nature. in your case, i think your images are excellent complements to your words. it's ethereal and imaginative. it's a pity that your film ideas did not work out. perharps you can find a school for film and offer the students to work with you in your aspiration to have it on screenplay. i see so many budget movies being produced, and alot of them are quite atrociously bad. as for your fantasy ideas, the images are excellent, so i am sure it will come off amazingly well on screenplay. don't give up. look elsewhere for your collaboration to screenplay. there could be a genius waiting to be discovered at movie...(More)
