I had planned on writing a 200 sales blog for a while now however it has come and past so this will have to be for 235 sales.
My first 100 images took 422 Days to achieve which was for a portfolio of 271 images (each image online for an average of 251 days).
My second lot of 100 images took only 98 Days which was made up of 359 images (each image was on average online for 321 days from when I first joined)
Of the searches to find images resulting in sales - 20% were keyword searched to find places, while 60% there was no search recorded (either found on categories or partner websites I presume).
The average number of credits spent is 2.2
The total number of credits is 533
Just under half of the sales were subscription sales
With so few images online I need to stop trying to understand the patterns however in a geeky way they are interesting to review. Some days I have 6 (rare) while other weeks I have none at all. I have stopped to trying to project sales as every time I do the pattern reverses however I will keep looking.
What I have learnt though, is that for me it is best to just shoot what I encounter in my travels and to find and take advantage of opportunities where I am at any time. I have a decent compartment in the base of my laptop bag so my camera comes with me everywhere but I still don't get it out enough. I have a long way to go technically but find a lot of joy in the learning. Given the category scale for sale price my thoughts are the sooner it is online the sooner it will go up in base price and the sooner my portfolio will have images that can start to generate some money. I think the flaw to taking this too far is not to take care in producing unique images or at least competitive.
Best luck everyone with your sales.
