Third Place Winner category Architecture-Bridges, Non-Professional
The 2009 International Photography Awards received nearly 15,000 submissions from 103 countries across the globe. It was a great honor of being awarded the "3rd place in Architecture - Bridges category for the winning entry "Under the Bridge in Esfahan"
During a early morning stroll alongside the river Zayandeh in Isfahan I saw this beautiful curtain of water, shadow and light under the Ferdowsi bridge. Luckily I did carry my camera with me to capture this moment. This bridge is one of the amazing bridges in Esfahan, and was named after the famous Iranian poet, Ferdowsi.
At the website of IPA, you can see two other images of myself who have received a honorable mention in 2010 and which are in the Honorable Mention Gallery Non-Professional 2010: "Dancing Skaters" under the category Editorial Sports and 'Escultura Moderna' under the category Fine Art: Abstract.
