Approval percentage and maximum amount     posted on 23rd of march, 2011

Have waited few days,a week or so to see if something was going to change;the point is that a week ago I was uploading some pictures when I noticed that the maximum amount of pictures I could upload decreased from 70 per week to 12 per week.

Now I understand that the quality of pictures is something important, even understand that too much pictures uploaded with nosense is frustrating for everyone, but that number is really too small.

I'm just an hobbiest so I wasn't maybe able to upload 70 files every week, but at least half of them yes;even considering my approval percentage is just 40%.

So what I'm asking is,isn't it an "half way" everyone can be satisfied?

I'm even exclusive here,so can't upload anywhere else, but if the amount will stay like this, considering and hoping my skill about photography will increase,I'll have to cancel the exclusivity to be able to upload as much photos (if they'll be good ones) as I'll get to take.

I'd gladly get an opinion about it and if anyone can explain what happened, thanks

Sometimes the limit is changed due to many factors (too many pictures pending, admins on holiday, festive periods, ecc.).
I never had problems with the weekly limit 'cause I upload few images every month, but (IMHO) I'm agree with you: exclusive photographers should have a "bonus". They (we) upload only here...

Think so as well, thank you Fabio!
Will see what will happen in the next few days or weeks

Hello Yuritz , you raise a really interesting question, we think that anyone should have to be exclusive of the marked advantages, compared to those who can load all the images in the other microstock sites! - posted by FabioConcetta on March 24, 2011
Vilaimages: I understand your point of view, but this is the level of the photographers around here,we'll be surely more selective as well and upload just the best pictures;but how can DT compete with the other Stock sites which have lots more photographers and files.
This is just an example from someone having his files in lots of different sites: microstock statistics

I agree with you all,the exclusive photographers should be treated in a different way and I don't mean only when we get payed;then I saw as well they're having problems and under maintenance because my downloads have been the same past two weeks, while I'm selling pics daily. - posted by Yuritz on March 24, 2011
On the community statistics, the amount of pending files went down drastically from around 35,000 to 19,000 in two or three days. It seems pretty obvious to me that if they keep the limit so small there will be no more pending files accumulated! :) logically, the limit should go up again (maybe a bit lower than before this)
DT guys really know what they are doing, these measures bring the numbers to a manageable level and all contributors are forced to be more selective raising the bar on the overall quality of images on DT.

Just my opinion, anyway.

From time to time DT reduces the amount of images to be uploaded, I guess they sometimes get saturated or they have maintenance on the way. - posted by Egomezta on March 23, 2011
my weekly upload amount also decreased much and i'm also exclusive here.that's really not a good news for we exclusive members with this change - posted by Uptall on March 23, 2011
70 for exclusives and 35 for others, haha, how about it? - posted by Multilisks on March 23, 2011
In my own opinion, DT really should treat the exclusives differently, giving a high upload limits if they want to keep the limits permanent. - posted by Luckydoor on March 23, 2011
Hi, that´s a very good question :) I would love to hear if this change is permanent - posted by Luissantos84 on March 23, 2011
