Cycling Tour Of Turkey

Recently I hadd the opportunity of shooting 47 th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey , which has the prolouge stage in Istanbul , starting from Europan side and finising on the Asian coast of the city.

Italy’s Andrea Guardini (Farnese Vini-Neri) has won the prolouge stage of historical bike race bridging two continents, Europe and Asia, held for the first time from the historical Sultanhamet to Kadiköy on the Asian seaside of Istanbul.

President Abdullah Gül joined the first three racers (Andrea Guardini Tyler Farrar and Kenny van Hummel )
at the pedestal during the ceremony.

Tour will end at 1 May with the final stage of Side to Antalya with a route with 158 kms.

	Posted by Davulcu on April 27, 2011 No , I was so lucky that last 8 tours in Asian side was covering the route around the district where I live and I had the chance to to position myself 8 times , including the finish line ! This is really a very rare thing since they usually pass by once and never tour back in front of you in many stages. Also one of my friends ( Kaank ) joined me and shot wonderful images. We had to chance to shoot from very different directions , including behind the group images as you can see one here. It was really amazing to watch these superhuman performers , cycling so fast and so close to each other without causing any accident.
