Spotless Scientific Glassware

Did you notice that the test tubes and scientific glass in my photographs are always free of dust, water spots or scratches? It’s because I always retouch all my images individually to eliminate any imperfection in the glass. Viewing my work at 300% screen magnification, I use a tiny digital clone brush with a size of between 6 and 9 pixels to eliminate each single defect –one by one.
My studio tabletop is equipped with both a compressed air blower and an anti-static air filter, but no matter how much dust I try to eliminate at shooting time, my glassware photos still require hundreds of single strokes and often take a few hours each to process. I tried various automatic software but the result was often blotchy. I also tried subcontracting on the Indian subcontinent, but the result was sub-par.
Passionate about consistently delivering clean images to my clients, I go beyond perfect scientific glass, routinely removing, dust specs from backgrounds, paint spots from old surfaces, blemishes from plants, dents from wood, flare from glass and even birds from skies!
I hope you enjoy the extra attention to detail when you view or purchase my photographs. My house? Oh yes, it’s pretty spotless too...
