First Editorial Sale - Stock Photography Blog

First Editorial Sale.

Hello Everybody! When uploading some of my pictures for editorial use, I was sure that nothing will sell. But it was a great surprise, when I saw my first editorial image sale. This is the lucky picture:

Can anyone tell me who exactly is potential client for this kind of pictures, and where are they used?

Maybe not as much as others, but that's fine me, as I am very new to the business. Wish you good luck and many more editorials!

	Posted by Verdelho on June 28, 2011 Hi My view is that three is a great untapped market for editorial images. For so long stock has concentrated on commercial images. But think about it for a minute. How many journals, magazines, news outlets etc, require pictures of ordinary people or ordinary things every day - millions. My focus is currently on editorial as I feel this is a much neglected area for stock. Some say that the stats do not support this view. Could that be because editorial has not really been available before on stock sites amoungst the white isolated factory-type images? Not sure, but I'm going to give it a go. They do sell.
