BME! And I didn't even realize it until DT tweeted for me!
The month started out really slow for me. After the first two weeks I thought it was going to be my worst month rather than my best but then late last week sales began to pick up. Quite a relief!
Here are some of the images that made this the best month ever on DT for me:
These three level threes all sold multiple times this month:
(appropriate for grads trying to figure out what to do with their lives)
(this abstract is getting close to Level 4! It should be there this summer - it's been my best-seller on DT since I uploaded it - I was just goofing around with my lensbaby and ended up with some fun backgrounds)
(from the same shoot - but processed in PS rather than straight from the camera)
I didn't expect that photos from last November's NYC Marathon would keep selling all year, but I've licensed at least one a month somewhere (and sometimes more than one) every month they've been online. Here's one of those editorial images that sold again this month:
And Christmas seems to be a best-seller year-round - this has had a lot of action this summer on various sites - second time it sold here: I've read that June and July are big months for holiday images, so I hope to shoot some more soon. But with the beautiful summer weather here, it's hard to think about the winter.
Now this one, my newest on DT, is more the type of photo I expect to be shooting in the summer.
Glad to have some encouraging news to report :) Hope all you fellow Americans have a Happy 4th of July - and that the rest of the world has a fun weekend too :)

>Since my grandmother put a camera in my hands at the age of six, I've been hooked. Curiosity and passion for new experiences keep me from narrowing my work to one specialty so I shoot just about everything. My portraits and travel photographs have graced the cover of various local and regional magazines and newspapers and have appeared in national publications here in my native USA to as far away as Russia. Since I started shooting stock photographs a couple of years ago, I have split my time between taking photos for my editorial, advertising and individual clients and giving myself assignments to come up with stock photo concepts, as well as working as a freelance writer. My website and blog http://travelstockphotos.blogspot.com , like my career, are works in progress. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them!
