Italy: we are not that kind of people!

I would like personally to write this post to apologize on behalf of my country for what happened today in Italy.
The event organized yesterday in many states in the world, was intended to express our disagreement with the current world situation, but only in Italy it has turned into an urban guerrilla.
I want to apologize on behalf of my people: it was not our intention to combine such a disaster, but only a few that are made to exploit by people and attitudes unclear!
I do not know how the protest will continue in my country, but I think we will need to change strategy, along other roads.

in that case you would have to assume that also Spain, Britain or Germany are ruled by thugs as such incidents have happened in this countries too..

Very well put Maria.
All sane minded people know that such incidences are not the expression of the majority of the people of that country. It is obvious that some profit seeking elements must have started this knowing very well that in a mob tendency it will catch up.
I had been to Europe recently and have real good respect for the people over there.

Unfortunately the havocs of yesterday has destroyed also the ideal of that event! Now we have to think about new ideas to go on, but trhough your words now I realize how we can prevent other mistakes ;)

The world knows that a small violent group, does not represent a country. The wonderful italian culture and spirit are above those incidents.

I think you shouldn,t worry to much about it. In that kind of events there is always people (organized or not) with the objective to create havoc,and give a negative image of people who wants to participate in a better society. There is always different forces and influences,at work..

look, I don´t think that you have to apologize, I am catalan and when our football team Barça wins, the peaceful expressions of joy of the majority of supporters are always disturbed by a few hooligans who destroy private and public propriety. It happens that there are a few who profit. Those don´t represent the italian or catalan people at all, força Italia !

>My training began in 1992 when I became interested of the art because of the magnificent works of Paul Klee, a passion that has lasted for years, until I met the comics and animated films, which made me realize that the illustrator (and cartoonist) would have been my profession of a life.
I moved first steps on the student newspaper at my school, and at 20 years old, I took a course in comics and illustration.
Since then it has been a continuous increase technical, continuing to draw till I land to computerized illustration techniques.
My style is a manga style realistic, but also in space SD and artistic style (specially for backgrounds). I love the gothic and I like to adapt it to any kind of theme.
My favourite softwares are GIMP and Inkscape. I'm opposed to the noble software:the illustrator createe an image, not the software, and if an illustrator is not able to create an image with any type of software or techniques... well ... he/she doesn't worth much ;)
