Everybody must be aware of question marks over the Euro and I am hoping my images relating to currency problems will sell well though so far it isn't happening.
In the Summer I was thinking about holidays with a view to producing interesting pictures and killing two birds with one stone...
We ended up in Greece twice once on the Island of Crete and later on the Island of Santorini. We remembered to take out holiday insurance though it is expensive
The volcanic Island of Santorini is small but fabulous especially for the photographer. Here are just a few of the images which I hope might stimulate others to visit. Streets in the capital Fira or Thira To the north of Fira , only 30 minutes by bus is Ia with a host of photographic subjects
I love donkeys which carry tourists up the 1000 foot cliff paths to the shops and restaurants and bars on Ia. Notice the marble street from days when traders operated throughout the world from the harbor in Ia.
The blue domes on churches are seen everywhere and are truly lovely. Tourists take boat trips from Fira to the volcano in the Caldera and swim in hot volcanic waters
I truly love the Greek Islands and whatever the Greek people have to endure their climate, food and way of life is far far better than countries such as Germany and the UK. On the way to the volcano we saw this golden boat the only time I have seen one and I hope it pressages golden times ahead for Greece.
