1th december 2011: The world of animation loses Shingo Araki     posted on 1st of december, 2011

Shingo Araki has died today, 1st december 2011, at the age of 72 y.o.

He was the genius who turned into cartoons, many Japanese manga: Versailles no Bara, Devilman, Babil Junior and Saint Seiya (Probably The Most known)!

But for me he was much more: Shingo Araki was the person who, through his works, lit in me the passion of the design definitively. He was one of my biggest inspirations, the one I am most deeply tied because he is the one I took inspiration for the characterization of the human body.

I think this is one of those sad news that must be written here, also on DT: I think I'm not the only one artist in the world (also in the microstock world) that have to say "thank you" to him.

Thank you for all!

>My training began in 1992 when I became interested of the art because of the magnificent works of Paul Klee, a passion that has lasted for years, until I met the comics and animated films, which made me realize that the illustrator (and cartoonist) would have been my profession of a life.
I moved first steps on the student newspaper at my school, and at 20 years old, I took a course in comics and illustration.
Since then it has been a continuous increase technical, continuing to draw till I land to computerized illustration techniques.

My style is a manga style realistic, but also in space SD and artistic style (specially for backgrounds). I love the gothic and I like to adapt it to any kind of theme.

My favourite softwares are GIMP and Inkscape. I'm opposed to the noble software:the illustrator createe an image, not the software, and if an illustrator is not able to create an image with any type of software or techniques... well ... he/she doesn't worth much ;)
